Gents are a Copenhagen based duo consisting of Theis Vesterløkke and Niels Fejrskov Juhl. Although their debut EP ‘Embrace The Future’ has just been released (December 4th 2015) the duo have been writing music together for some time. It all started a couple years ago when they both moved to Berlin, with few commitments and a mutual passion for 80’s synths and drum machines, they spent their free time writing early sketches for what was to become ‘Embrace The Future’. After countless sessions the duo landed on what has now become their signature sound, fusing synths, programmed beats with the soft and crooney baritone vocals of Juhl.
During 2015, Gents spent most of their time writing, recording and fine-tuning their songs, playing live shows across Denmark and parts of Europe in the process. In wake of their debut single release “Young Again” in February 2015, they started gaining momentum securing support slots with Jaakko Eino Kalevi and Danish pop darling Vinnie Who along with their own headlining shows in Copenhagen and Berlin. Follow up single “Circles” was premiered on Noisey in September 2015, the track helped increase rotation on Danish national radio and was chosen by Soundvenue as “track of the week”, which lead to them being named by the magazine on their “breaking sound of 2016” list as well as naming their forthcoming album as one of the most anticipated records of the year.
2017, saw the release of their debut album 'About Time' to critical acclaim by national media within Denmark, with key single from the album "Brother" gaining rotation on both P6 Beat and P3. 2018, saw huge crowds gather for their sets at SPOT Festival and Alive as they spent most of the summer writing/recording material for their follow-up album.
